Quick backstory, my GPA is around a 1.9 (about a 2.4 total as i transferred schools) am currently in danger of being dismissed from my current university, and am in line to fail organic chemistry (again) and parasitology (an upper lever zoology course)
1) If I drop my parasitology course, it would put me at part time, does this look bad on a transcript?
2. Whats the whole process for being a carib med student? I mean is the native language english? Does one have to travel back and forth to the states every summer? How about phone calls to the states? Aside from a few trips to ohio to go to cedar point (im from detroit are of Mi.) iv never even been out of the state, let alone the country
3. My orgo prof said his wife is an MD and she heard from her school (not sure where) that if one gets anything below a B in organic that one can pretty much say goodbye to any US med school, and be in trouble even when it comes to carib schools) Iv already failed this clas once, and after the first test and 3 quizzes am averaging another F
Basically what im asking is, should I just give up on any hope of med school, be it DO or carib or whatnot? My extracurriculars are pretty good (around 1000 hrs volunteer work, and shadowing a doc and hope for at least a year of research), however all that would mean nothing with my GPA being so terrible right now, or even failing out (which im guessing would totally destroy any chance whatsoever)
