Wikipedia is taking over Manhattan this Friday with a photo scavenger hunt. Sponsored by Free Culture @ NYU and Free Culture @ Columbia, the hunt will ask participants to take the best photos they can of various sites; the photos will then be judged, and the best will be uploaded to the Wikipedia Commons and used to supplement Wikipedia articles about NYC. The team that comes in 1st will win an iPod shuffle for each member, while 2nd- and 3rd-place teams will win copies of "Wikipedia, The Missing Manual." [via]
